Experience what perfect feels like, in real time! Introducing Slow-Mo Drills, which can be found in your Mustard Golf Daily Plan in the iOs version of the app. (Android is coming soon!) This feature will create light-bulb moments and revelations as you feel and learn the proper positioning of the golf club.
“It’s much easier to walk through something slowly, then layer in speed as you gain competency,” says Golf Digest’s No. 1 Coach in America Mark Blackburn. “Mustard’s new Slow-Mo Drills feature will give you real-time feedback on whether or not you are getting the club into a good position at the top of the back swing so you can correctly make the transition down into the Moment of Truth.”
How to Use Slow-Mo Drills
- Create a new daily plan. Open up Your Plan. At the bottom of your list of drills, you will see a new daily assignment, “Slow-Mo Drills.” Once you click in, you can select from a few different variables we have to offer. The variable we recommend you work on will already be highlighted for you.
- Follow the instructions to set up your camera and to set yourself up. Use the front-facing camera and down-the-line swings only! Your instructions for the variable will also show you where to pause your swing for that variable specifically. Make sure to pause for 5 seconds at the position prescribed.
- Get into your setup position. When you hear the word “start,” start your slow swing. Once you get to the prescribed position, you will be told to pause. Pause for 5 seconds. You’ll hear what your current score is and can adjust your position accordingly. After 5 seconds, resume your swing.
- Go back to your setup position and get ready to swing again! After 5 swings, check out your report card and see how you did. You can watch all of your swings to review your session. Your score for the session will show up in your plan and you can keep track of your progress as you go.
- As with all new features, this one is a work-in-progress. Try it out and send us your feedback at [email protected]!
